Development

SBMHA works to follow Hockey Canada's Long-Term Player Development to offer a positive, appropriate development program for all of our players.

SBMHA also coordinates development opportunities for players to grow their skills at different levels. Please see the following opportunities that are currently being offered.

Upcoming Player Development Opportunities

Try to Be a Goalie Days
U9 and U11 players who are interested in learning more about being a goalie are invited to attend one of our "Try to Be a Goalie Days". Goalie equipment will be available for use at the event. There is no cost to attend, but anyone planning to attend must RSVP as space is limited.

Dates:

Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Southdale East
OR
Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Southdale East

RSVP to info@sbmha.ca with your players name, age and choice of date in order to reserve space for your player. Spaces will be secured in order of RSVPs.

 

U15 Checking Clinic
First year U15 players are invited to attend a two-night checking clinic in order to learn the safe way to check (and receive checks). Spaces will be limited and registration will be available soon.

Dates:

Group 1: Sat, Sept 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sat, Sept 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Southdale

Group 2: Sat, Sept 18 at 8:45 p.m. and Sat, Sept 25 at 7:45 p.m. at Southdale
